BROOKLIN—Peninsula Pride hosted a Drag Party on June 28, drawing 200 participants to the Brooklin event.
The evening kicked off with a performance by local band Old County Road. State Representative for House District 16 Nina Milliken and her three kids took the stage to talk about the “importance of tolerance, love for our fellow community members, and creating safe spaces to be who we are,” a release said.

Hot dogs, curly fries, lobster rolls, and tostadas were available, as was homemade ice cream at Astro, the release said. Peninsula Pride offered free soft drinks for kids.
Hanna B. Designs set up a pop-up shop, selling “vintage and homemade clothing and accessories,” the release said. Brooklin residents Lola Blake and Fisher Tollhauser ran a free glitter bar, offering “festive face glitter for attendees throughout the evening.” The event also featured a photo booth with props, the release said, and Astro turned its interior space into a dance floor after the band finished its set.
