Lasercut Screenprinting
Explore how digital tools can be part of hands-on making. In this short workshop, participants will use the Fab Lab’s laser cutter and the xTool screenprinting jig to create simple designs and turn them into screens for printing. We’ll walk through the process of engraving an image or text onto a pre-coated screen, then use it to print on paper or fabric.
Participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind print—and a look at how the Fab Lab’s tools can open new possibilities for creative work.
All levels welcome; all materials provided. Participants may bring something to print on.
Blood Drive
Hello & Happy Holidays from all of us here at Penobscot Fire Department! Thank you so much for your lifesaving work of giving blood. Our Penobscot Day drive was very successful, collecting 40% over our goal with 35 units, and 15% first time donors. The Red Cross was impressed and surprised at the high turnout (we weren't, though - we know how amazing our town is!) We are proud to announce the launch of the Penobscot Blood Drive coming up in 6 weeks, on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 9 am - 2 pm! While there's still plenty of time to register, and we have about 28 slots available, slots are filling quickly - so please register soon. Walk-ins are on a space available basis only. Contact us if you have questions! Stay warm in the storm!
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross blood program!
Download the Red Cross Blood Donor App on the App Store, Google Play or text BLOODAPP to 90999. Schedule appointments, view your blood type and results of your mini-physical, and track your donations.

Winter Solstice Gathering
Please join us as we honor this beautiful Earth feast of the Winter Solstice – sol sticere – sun stands still. Joseph Campbell wrote “Movement is time, but stillness is eternity.” The sun’s pausing in its journey today opens up, according to the ancient ones, a liminal space, a thin veil when spirit and matter interconnect intimately. Let us come together and open ourselves to this mystical possibility offered to us by our beloved Mother Earth.
The lessening of light and the increase of darkness are necessary ingredients for the Earth’s nourishment. They enable the fallow process to happen. How is this mirrored in our own lives? Come and reflect, sing, light candles, share conversation and share a nibble of bread, apple and honey!
All are welcome. Your presence is a blessing to us.
