The Changing Gulf of Maine: Challenges and Opportunities

  • Wilson Museum 107 Perkins Street Castine, Maine, 04421 United States (map)

Join Dr. Deborah Bronk, President and CEO of Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, for her presentation at the Wilson Museum. The Gulf of Maine is changing in many ways - warming, changing color, becoming more acidic, accumulating microplastics, and seeing an increase in harmful algal blooms. These changes create challenges for the sustainable use of its resources but also opportunities to better understand and protect this important natural resource.

Co-sponsored by the Wilson Museum and the Blue Hill Heritage Trust. For more information, contact the Wilson Museum at 326-9247.
