The Blue Hill Library and Blue Hill Maritime Heritage Festival will present a talk about Baltimore Clippers with Captain Daniel S. Parrott on Wednesday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Blue Hill Public Library. The Baltimore Clipper is a fast maneuverable ship historically built on the mid-Atlantic seaboard of the US and rising to notoriety during the War of 1812, operating primarily as privateers. After a 22-year career sailing traditional sailing ships Capt. Parrott still goes to sea from time to time and lives in Blue Hill, Maine. This program is free and open to all.
