Voices by the Fire
H.O.M.E., Inc. warmly invites the community to a fall gathering, "Voices by the Fire," on Friday, October 9th at its Orland campus (parking available on-site). This free, family-friendly event celebrates creativity, community, and the changing season with a cozy evening of activities, treats, and togetherness.
4-H Downeast Fly Fishing Day
Designed for all youth ages 9 - 18, this free 4-H special interest project explores the vital themes of conservation, environmental stewardship, and the art of fly fishing. In partnership with Downeast Trout Unlimited, participants will learn from local community experts through three engaging presentations and gain hands-on experience in our fly-tying and casting workshops.
Birding Field Trip to the Dead River Trail
Easy walking, always productive birding at this trail in The Wildlands. Led by Zachary Holderby of Downeast Audubon. Meet at Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery in Orland. Pre-registration required. Email deaudubon@gmail.com

To keep the calendar useful and readable, we don’t post regularly recurring events (for example, an ongoing fitness class or month-long shows), but we do welcome special sessions, series kickoffs, and standalone workshops.
