The “Small Works Show 2025” in Castine is a selection of exactly that: small works of art with commensurately lower price tags.

The show is launched every year at gallery b. In Castine. This year’s show runs through Dec. 20.

This year’s show features two sizes of art: 5x7-inch works are $220, and 8x10-inch pieces are $325.

The show features dozens of artists from Maine and parts beyond, “mostly established and mid-career artists , as well as some fresh emerging voices. The works are offered at less than half their normal price for this show period only,” the gallery says on its website.

Proceeds from the show help support the gallery’s annual “Annex Arts Artist Residency Program.”

The Rising Tide highlights artistic endeavors from our community, and showcases them here in our “Create” section. If you have something you’d like to submit—a poem, a picture of a painting, a photograph, a music recording—send it to
info@risingtide.media. We’d love to publish it and give you an audience for your creativity.
