The Rising Tide exists because we believe local news should be free for everyone. Our sponsor program is for businesses and organizations who feel the same way and want to help keep that going. Our content reaches about 15,000 unique visitors each month, with approximately 1,500 weekly readers through our newsletter and a growing following on Facebook and Instagram.

Your sponsorship helps us:

  • Cover town meetings, schools, housing, working waterfronts, arts, and everyday local life across the Blue Hill Peninsula and Deer Isle-Stonington.

  • Pay reporters and our team, who live in and care about this region, fair compensation for their work

  • Keep all of it free—no paywalls, no subscriptions

We have one simple level: $750 per year.

    • A $50 advertising voucher

  • Storytelling discount

    • 20% off a Sponsor Spotlight feature, giving the community an in-depth look at your business

How it works

  • Term: 12 months from your start date

  • Cost: One‑time payment of $750

  • Renewal: We’ll check in before your year ends to see if you’d like to continue

  • Sponsorship never affects what we cover or how we cover it. Our editorial decisions remain independent.
