Sign vandalized in Deer Isle
Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
Blue Hill
On Jan. 10, deputies responded to a residence in Blue Hill for a report of a possible domestic assault. As a result of the investigation, no criminal charges were filed.
Kacey Thibodeau, 30, of Blue Hill was arrested on Jan. 13 for a warrant.
Hancock County Sheriff’s Office assisted Bangor Police Department on Jan. 11 with paperwork service in Blue Hill.
Brooklin
Deputies from Hancock County Sheriff’s Department assisted District Attorney’s Detective and Maine Probation and Parole with a search warrant on Jan. 12 at a residence in Brooklin.
Sedgwick
Dalton Hamilton, 22, of Sedgwick was unable to avoid a collision with a deer on Jan. 12 causing a reportable amount of damage. No injuries were reported.
On Jan. 16, a car crash was reported at the intersection of Caterpillar Hill Road and the Reach Rd. The operator, Wilson Zildjian, 68, of Castine, said that while driving down the hill to the intersection he was unable to stop due to the icy conditions. The vehicle slid past the stop sign.
On Jan. 19, as a result of a car accident in Blue Hill, Theron Lehto, 22, of Blue Hill was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence. He was transported to the Hancock County Jail without incident.
Penobscot
On Jan. 12, a Penobscot resident reported wanting a subject warned to stop having contact with them. A warning was issued.
On Jan. 16, a harassment complaint from a Penobscot resident was received. Deputy Grindle spoke with the individual in question and warned them for their actions.
On Jan. 17, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Penobscot, Marissa Bransford, 44, of Tennessee was charged with Operating Under the Influence and given a summons to appear in court at a later date.
Castine
A harassment complaint was received on Jan. 14. Police documented the incident.
Bucksport
Timothy Gray, 27, of Sargentville was summonsed for false attachment of plates on Jan. 13.
Aaron Sheperd, 51, of Bangor was summonsed for false attachment of plates and cited for operating after suspension on Jan. 15.
Bruce Gothrow, 53, of Bradley was arrested for violation of a protection order and for possession of a schedule W drug on Jan. 15.
On Jan 16, a woman reported her son was assaulted. The case is under investigation.
Scott A Gallant, 47, of Islesboro was charged with unlawful trafficking of schedule drugs and operating under the influence of drugs on Jan 16.
Deer Isle
A vandalism report was made on Jan. 13 concerning the intersection of Greenlaw District Road and Sunshine Road. Upon arrival a street sign was observed to be tampered with. The Town of Deer Isle has since replaced the sign.
