Got fiber? Brooksville organization looking for art show submissions

BROOKSVILLE—The Gallery Within at Reversing Falls Sanctuary in Brooksville is sponsoring a show from February 1-28. The focus of this show will be fiber projects like basketry, knitting , weaving, crocheting, sewing or felting but not limited to these mediums.

“The winter is long in Maine and this show will provide an opportunity for makers and artists to showcase their creations that keep their hands and minds busy during the season of hunkering down,” the organization said in a press release.

Both functional and non-functional pieces will be considered for the show. The gallery has wall space for hanging and pedestals for displaying work.

Interested artists may submit photos or a description of the work they propose to enter for consideration to Pat Horton at gallerywithinrfs@gamil.com. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 16.
