Theo Hays, a mixed-material artist from Blue Hill, will have work on display at the library for the month of January. He often experiments with everyday materials and natural elements, combining found objects, fabric, clay, or ink into unexpected compositions. Inspired by both the natural and human-made world, Theo’s work reflects his curiosity about patterns, textures, and the relationships between shape and form. Whether creating large pieces to express bigger ideas or small, intimate works that capture a fleeting moment, he approaches art-making as a way to explore emotion, play, and connection. His goal is to create pieces that invite viewers to pause, look closely, and feel something, be it joy, wonder, or reflection. Don’t miss this excellent chance to warm both body and soul during our cold winter!
