Welcome back Sarah Baskin who launches DIAA's winter series of residencies this season. She will be in the gallery through November 22. Sarah plans to create three 2 x 3 foot oil paintings using different tools than her usual brushes, palette knives and squeegees. She hopes that oil sticks and brayers will help create looser, more abstract paintings. Using new tools will also allow her to explore new types of mark making and decide how she wants to incorporate them into her work.
Please stop by the gallery to see Sarah at work, and even enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, weekdays from 9-3 PM. At other times, if the “Open” flag is flying, Sarah is there working and welcomes visitors to join her.
