Did you know that amphibians migrate to their breeding sites in the spring? Often, this involves hazardous road crossings. You can learn how to help them cross the road out of danger and record important data for their protection.
Join Deer Isle Adult and Community Education and @islandheritagetrust for a hands-on amphibian ID course. Learn about our local species and then help survey a stretch of Pressey Village Road. You’ll be looking forward to rainy nights and the chance to see otherwise elusive critters, including spotted salamanders, spring peepers, and more!
Check out @mainebignight to find out more about amphibian migration.
