Unattended death deemed of natural cause

Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Blue Hill

On Feb. 10, Ronald Weed, 65, of Stonington, entered South Street from the Hannaford parking lot in his vehicle and was struck by Florence Prouty, 78, of Blue Hill, who was turning left from the Dunkin Donuts parking lot.There was minor damage and no injuries were reported.

Orland

On Feb. 18, Deputy Grindle assisted the Maine State Police with a traffic stop on Acadia Highway.

On Feb. 24, Deputy Lord responded to a residence for a report of an unattended death. The investigation determined that Ralph Gray, 91, of Orland died of natural causes. No suspicious circumstances were found

Bucksport

Nyarugwagwa Ruramira, 65, of Lewiston, was arrested on a Maine State warrant on Feb. 17.

Alexander Delgado, 40, of Verona Island was arrested on Feb. 17 for Operating After Suspension and Violation of Conditions of Release.

On Feb. 18, the Ellsworth Police Department requested assistance from the Bucksport Police Department  to serve a no trespass and no contact order.

On Feb.18, Dana Gover, 58 of Dummer, New Hampshire, was arrested for Operating Under the Influence.

Matthew Hogan, 33, of Belfast arrested on a warrant on Feb. 19.

Penobscot

On Feb. 10, Robert Fairweather, 70, of Penobscot failed to yield while making a left turn onto Front Ridge Road and struck another vehicle being operated by Patrick Steele, 64, of Orland. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and no injuries were reported.
