School bus vs. car in Castine

Blue Hill

On Feb. 11, Elizabeth York, 80, of Blue Hill was travelling on a snow-covered roadway when she lost control and struck at least one guardrail. The operator left the scene and was unsure how the crash occurred, according to the police report.

Castine

Joyce Cry, 65, of Penobscot struck a legally parked truck on Feb. 10 owned by Gabriel Shultz, 30, of Castine while turning a school bus into a parking lot on Court Street in Castine. The bus, carrying nine students and one adult, was undamaged and no injuries were reported. The unoccupied truck sustained substantial damage.

Orland

On Feb. 16, Hancock County Deputy Mailhot responded to a family dispute, it was determined no crimes had been committed and the parties were separated for the night.

Bucksport

As a result of a traffic stop on Feb. 12 in Ellsworth, Dawn Clark, 49, of Bucksport was arrested and charged with Driving to Endanger. She was transported to the Hancock County Jail.

Deer Isle

Hancock County deputies were requested by the Bangor Police Department on Feb. 12 to check the well being of a Deer Isle resident. The resident was given a trespassing and harassment notice.

On Feb. 13, Dayna Bowden, 37, of Deer Isle was travelling on a snow-covered and slippery road, lost control of the vehicle, and slid off the road into a tree.

Sedgwick

Deputy Knappe responded to a single-vehicle crash on Caterpillar Hill Road in Sedgwick on Feb. 11. The driver, Alexis Freeman, 22, of Lewiston slid on snowy roads, entered a ditch, and struck a tree stump. The vehicle was towed.
