Blue Hill

During a traffic stop on Feb. 28, Deputy Sgt. Taylor Keeran issued Steven Pinkham, 63, of Brooklin, a summons for operating with an expired license over 90 days.

Brooksville

On March 6, Deputy Gregory Mailhot responded to a report of property damage at Mount Rest Cemetery.

Bucksport

Officer Robert Findlay responded to the scene of a reported dog bite on March 1.

On March 1, Officer Robert Findlay responded to a reported assault. No charges were filed but the incident is under investigation.

Kadence Dewitt, 18, of Bucksport, was traveling south on Millvale Road on March 1 when she slid into the shoulder and hit a rock. 

On March 2, Officer Amanda Loeven responded to a possible road rage incident. No injuries were reported but the incident is under investigation.

Officer Trevor Luna responded to a report of a disorderly resident at a local apartment complex on March 2.

Shawn Bristol, 33, of Canaan, was summonsed on March 3 for operating a vehicle after suspension, inspection, insurance and registration violations.

Todd Hewes, 62, of Verona, was summonsed for theft on March 3. 

Matthew Hogan, 33 of Bucksport, was charged with operating with an expired license over 90 days when he was stopped on March 3.

Kathey Atherton Downes, 66, of Bucksport was traveling southbound on River Road on March 4 when a deer darted across the road and collided with her vehicle. The car sustained minor damage but no injuries were reported.

Officer Matt Schmidt responded to a crash in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on March 5. Steven Davis, 70, of Bucksport was making a right turn out of the drive-thru when he failed to yield the right-of-way to Sean Eastman, 50, of Bucksport. No injuries were reported but Davis’ car was damaged in the incident.

Officer Jesse Dow served two protection orders on March 5.

Officer Dan Harlan discovered that a reported iPhone crash alert was a false alarm on March 6.

On March 6, a bicycle was found hanging in a tree.

A confused pedestrian was cause for concern when Officer Jesse Dow responded to a suspicious person report on March 6.

Juveniles were found hanging out in the baseball field dugout after hours on March 6.

Steven Davis, 35, of Standish, was backing into a parking spot at the Bucksport Motor Inn when he hit the parked car of George Knowles, 73, of Bucksport. Davis’ car was damaged but no injuries were reported.

Steven Skillin, 43 of Penobscot, was charged with suspended registration while driving on River Road on March 7.

Sedgwick

During the early morning hours of March 2, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Sedgwick for a report of a burglary in progress. The deputies found no evidence of a burglary.

Orland

Sergeant Travis Frost helped Bucksport Police Department locate a missing person on March 9. The person in question was found walking along Acadia Highway and was brought home.
