‘Fugitive from justice’ arrested

Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Bucksport

Officer Jesse Dow was called to deal with a disorderly male outside a local business on March 8.

On March 9, a resident reported his wife missing. She was soon found.

Martin McKeen, 63, of Stockton Springs was backing out of a parking spot on March 10 when he hit a parked vehicle belonging to Kasey Woodman, 38, of Prospect. No injuries were reported.

Officer Trevor Luna responded to an alarm at a local business on March 11. No further details were provided.

A resident reported a stray dog in her yard on March 11. By the time Animal Control Officer Autumn Bishop arrived on scene, it was gone.

On March 11, David McFarlin, 50 of Bucksport, was arrested by Officer Robert Findlay for violating conditions of release, operating after revocation, and fugitive from justice. 

Mark Counts, 23, of Arkansas, was arrested for operating under the influence while driving on Rt. 46 on March 12.

Randall Walker, 19 of Freeport, was summonsed on Rte. 1 for transportation of alcohol by a minor and possession of a fake ID.

On March 14 Officer Chris Sergeant received a theft report from a business on Rte. 1. The incident remains under investigation.

Blue Hill

Deputy Wyatt Lord received a trespassing complaint from the Blue Hill Hospital on March 11. After further investigation, a Sedgwick resident was issued a no trespass notice from the Hospital, unless it's for medical purposes.

Sergeant Travis Frost was called to a residence following a disorderly conduct complaint in the early morning hours of March 10. Before he arrived, the two subjects parted ways and one left the residence. No charges were filed.

Brooksville

Deputy Greg Mailhot placed Edward Hildreth, 73, of Orono, under arrest after he was found in Brooksville in violation of a protection order on March 16. He was transported to Hancock County Jail without incident.

Deer Isle

On March 9, Deputy Devin Grindle conducted a well-being check for a six-month-old baby. Grindle conducted an investigation and determined the baby was under proper care.

Orland 

On March 12 Deputy Devin Grindle received a well-being check request in Orland. The resident did not need assistance.

After being stopped on Acadia Highway on March 13, William Erlanson, 29, of Bar Harbor, was summonsed for suspended registration, class E.

Deputy Greg Mailhot was dispatched for a wellbeing check in Orland on March 15. The resident in question was at church.

On March 13, Deputy Greg Mailhot responded to a call on Fish Hatchery Road after a person was bitten by a dog. After providing medical treatment to the victim, Mailhot handed the case off to animal control.

Penobscot

Deputy Anthony Jones assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with serving a cease harassment notice to a resident in Penobscot on March 16.
