Two issued no trespass order after Hannaford theft

Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Blue Hill

On Feb. 28, Kinnane Hodgkins, 40, of Surry, and Jacob Lapointe, 35, of Hancock were summonsed for Theft of Authorized Taking and issued no trespass notices from Hannaford.

Damon Gray, 31, of Surry was traveling north on the Ellsworth Road when he lost control of his vehicle on March 17. He was charged with Criminal Operating Under the Influence and will appear in court later this spring. 

Brooklin

Deputy Wyatt Lord responded to a call about a resident possibly experiencing a mental health crisis. He determined there was no crisis.

Bucksport

Officer Jesse Dow responded to an intoxicated person report at a local restaurant on March 15.

On March 15, Officer Matt Schmidt received a fraud complaint from a male resident.

Ryan Smedberg, 19 of Augusta, charged on March 16, with Operating Without a License and possession of alcohol by a minor by consumption.

Braden Wells, 20, of Cumberland was traveling north on Route 46 when he swerved around a frost heave on March 16. Wells attempted to correct the vehicle but went off the road and down a steep embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its side.

Brandy Abbott, 43 of Bucksport, was arrested on a warrant on March 17.

On March 18, a female resident in her 80s was reported to have left her residence. She was soon located.

Jean Rohrer, 84, of Southwest Harbor, was attempting to leave a store on March 20, when he misjudged the parking lot exit and went down over the embankment. The vehicle was damaged and towed.

Judy Granville, 55, of Searsport was arrested on a warrant on March 21.

Castine

Holden Nichols, 20, of Searsmont was traveling north on the Castine Road when he hit a deer on March 21. No injuries were reported.

On March 21, Randal Flood, 60, of Castine, hit a deer while traveling southward. The vehicle was damaged but no injuries were reported.

Orland

On March 22, Deputy Wyatt Lord was dispatched to check on a person in crisis in Orland. The individual was transported to Northern Light Maine Coast ER for an evaluation and further assistance.

Sergeant Marcus Downes responded to a report of a possible threat on March 18. A 24-year-old male was transported to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth for evaluation.

Surry

Deputies responded to a report of a verbal family fight in Surry on March 18. The involved parties were issued disorderly conduct warnings.
