Reversing Falls Sanctuary showcases affordable art

‘Simply Summer’ celebrates the work of 20 local artists

BROOKSVILLE—If you appreciate worthwhile art and craftwork and are looking to expand your personal collection, check out the show and sale offered at the Reversing Falls Sanctuary's 'Gallery Within.' 

The 'Simply Summer' exhibit features creations by 20 local artists in a mix of styles, and mediums, including paint, paper, textiles, ceramics, metal and wood–and all are for sale. You will discover a colorful display of reasonably priced handworks made by new and familiar artists.

Thanks to the efforts of the sanctuary’s dedicated volunteers, and a grant from the Maine Community Foundation, the 'Gallery Within' can afford to feature art priced for gift giving. The gallery's inclusive commitment to nurturing artistic expression fits solidly into the Reversing Falls Sanctuary's community building mission. 'Simply Summer’ is on display thru July 29. The Gallery Within at Reversing Falls Sanctuary is located at 818 Bagaduce Road in Brooksville. The gallery is open on Wednesdays 4:00-6:00 p.m., Fridays 4:00-7:00 p.m., and Saturdays 1:00-4:00 p.m.
