Come to Emerson Hall in Castine, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm on August 4 for a presentation from Kate Tomkins, founder of Chickadee Compost. Kate will present for 30 minutes on the importance of composting and what’s included in a Chickadee Compost subscription. This will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A. This is a part of an effort by Castine and the wider peninsula to improve proper solid waste disposal, so we encourage all members of the community to attend.
