Mike and Susie Fay, and Maine Weather, will be the featured performers at Dolly’s Coffeehouse at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill, Saturday, July 4th 7:00-9:00pm. Celebrating 47 years of performing together, Mike and Susie have an enormous eclectic repertoire that spans multiple genres of music from original songs, to folk, blues, Celtic, and beyond. Mike is a caller for Contra Dances and both he and Susie play in Contra Dance bands.
Maine Weather has been blessed with many excellent musicians in its storied existence, but one thing they’ve been told has always stayed the same - they play good music. Currently composed of Paul Welsh, Art Washburn, Laura Boege, and Kevin Poland, their songs range from The Carter Family to Neil Young and just about everyone in between, as well as some originals. “Don’t like what we’re playing, then just like the weather, wait 5 minutes it’ll probably change.”
There will be no open mic this month but there will be a brief intermission with refreshments between performances. Come celebrate July 4th with us!
Donations benefit the Dolly Fisher Emergency Fund, which provides emergency fuel, food, clothing, and utility help for households on the Blue Hill Peninsula and informing the public about other available resources. This fun evening is for all ages and will be held downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Admission is by free will offering. FMI: contact 374-2891.
