‘Full bird’ colonel takes position in Augusta

BANGOR—David Gribbin of Blue Hill has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
With his family in attendance, Gribbin was advanced to colonel at a promotion ceremony on Sept. 11 at Bangor Air National Guard Base. Gribbin recently assumed a position at Joint Force Headquarters in Augusta, Maine.
Gribbin is married to Sarah Clapp, a colonel at the Air National Guard base in Bangor where she is Commander of the 101st Air Refueling Wing, known as “the MAINEiacs.” See our related story.
