BLUE HILL—A local high school swimmer has been named to a national “All America” team.
George Stevens Academy announced that senior Annika Marshall has been selected to the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association of America (NISCA) All America Team
The NISCA All America Award is “among the most prestigious honors in high school aquatics,” according to a release from the school. Of the more than 353,000 students participating in high school aquatics programs across the country, only about two percent earn All America recognition in any given year, the school said.
Marshall was nominated by the GSA/Ellsworth/Sumner Co-op Team Coach, Jim Goodman, “whose support and guidance were instrumental in her achieving this milestone,” the release said.
Marshall is a member of the Class of 2026 at George Stevens Academy.
