BLUE HILL — On this year’s election ballot, there are two candidates to choose from to be Hancock County’s next sheriff. Corey Bagley is on the ballot as a Republican; Dakota Dupuis is running as a Democrat.
Bagley, 57, a former chief deputy for the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and now a detective with the Ellsworth Police Department, has 31 years of law enforcement experience. Dupuis, 31, has been in law enforcement for 11 years and is currently a lieutenant in the Sheriff’s Office.
Both men – who were recently profiled in The Rising Tide – have agreed to attend a forum hosted by the Blue Hill Public Library on Wednesday, Oct. 21, starting at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The event will take place in BHPL’s main room. Candidates will be taking questions posed by reporters from The Rising Tide, The Penobscot Bay Press, and The Islander. They will also be answering written questions submitted by members of the audience.
