“Suspicious male” asks “suspicious questions”
Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Sergeant Travis Frost conducted a well-being check on a Blue Hill resident after the subject missed a Caring-Call. This subject was located and “everything was fine,” the report said.
Bucksport
Brittany Low, 29, of Bucksport, was arrested for operating under the influence and brought to Hancock County jail on April 26.
On April 26, Brooke Hopkins, 46 yof of Orland, charged operating after suspension.
Laura Burbank, 61, of Bucksport, issued a summons for operating after suspension on April 26.
Adam Rugh, 39 of Bangor, on April 26 for a traffic violation.
Sergeant Darrin Moody issued a trespass warning to a male at a residence on April 26.
Harry Dyer, 56, of Bucksport received a citation for failure to produce evidence and failure to register a vehicle on April 26.
On April 26, Michael McLain, 34, of Penobscot received a citation for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Brooke Ann Hopkins, 56, of Bucksport received a citation of April 26 for operating while license suspended and failure to produce evidence.
A citation was issued to Laura Marie Burbank, 61, of Bucksport, on April 26 operating while license suspended
Ava M. Coward, 20, of Freeported received a citation on April 26 for “failure to produce evidence,” the report said.
Adam Ryan Rugh, 39, of Bangor received a citation on April 26 for operating after suspension.
On April 26, Read Mcallian, 33, of Bucksport, was charged with criminal trespass on Heritage Park Road.
Rachel Brown, 25, of Trenton, was traveling east on Route 1 when she hit a deer that ran into the roadway. No injuries were reported.
Officer Matt Schmidt is investigating a traffic incident on April 27. The vehicle “took off” during a traffic stop, the report says.
Officer Robert Findlay responded to a possible scam complaint on April 27.
A female jumped into traffic on April 27.
Lauren Albon, 39, of Castine received a citation for speeding on April 27.
On April 27, Heather Raymond, 38, of Bangor, received a citation for speeding.
Robert Smith, 49, of Bucksport received a citation on April 27 for displaying fictitious vehicle certificates.
After receiving a report of a child hitchhiking on April 27, Officer Robert Findlay was unable to locate the child.
A possible theft on April 27 is under investigation.
Officer Robert Findlay responded to the report of an unknown person dumping household trash in a dumpster on April 28.
Sabrina DeBeck, 33, of Ellsworth received a citation for speeding on April 28.
Kimberly Wadleigh, 61, of Bucksport, received a citation for speeding on April 28.
On April 28, Erin Brooks, 39, of Bucksport, was issued a citation for operating an unregistered vehicle.
Joshua Axelrod, 42, of Otis, received a citation of April 28 for failure to display valid inspection and insurance.
Joshua Barnard, 34, of Newport, backed into a car belonging to Veronica Gomm, 40, of Bucksport on April 29.
On April 29, Connor Parker, 21, of Hampden, received a citation for operating an unregistered vehicle.
Stacy J. Gillen, 42 , of Brooklin received a citation for speeding on April 29.
“Rapid fire gun shots” were heard on April 29, according to the report. Officer Robert Findlay determined they were from target shooting.
Officer David Winchester responded to a report of suspicious conditions at a local church on April 29.
A man walking behind the high school found a “whippet type dog” on April 29, according to the report.
Officer Matt Schmidt received a report of a “suspicious male” asking “suspicious questions” in the Hannaford parking lot on April 30, according to the report.
A lost wallet was turned in at the police department May 1.
Officer Jesse Dow stopped someone trespassing and camping in the woods with a campfire on May 1. No charges were filed.
Crosswalk lights were not working on May 1.
A sexual assault report on May 2 is under investigation.
Orland
On April 29, Joseph Ames, 42, of Orland, was summoned for failing to stop, remain and provide information, for failing to report an accident, and for operating a vehicle without a license.
