BPD officer vehicle struck, driver “takes off”
Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Brooksville
Deputies were dispatched to residence for a missing 7 year old on May 19. The child was safely located.
Blue Hill
Shawn Grover, 51, of Blue Hill, was arrested on May 20 for operating under the influence. He was transported to the Hancock County Jail without incident
Bucksport
William Arthur Grunwald Jr., 63, of Bucksport, was issued a citation on May 17 for failure to produce evidence of insurance.
David Rosen, 40, of Bucksport received a citation for speeding on May 18.
Officer Matt Schmidt received a report of a suspicious person on May 19. He was not able to locate anyone.
A female resident requested a well-being check on her sister on May 19.
On May 19 a male reported two dogs running loose on the River Road.
Kathleen Winslow, 40, of Bucksport was charged with operating after suspension and Melissa Brown, 38, of Searsport was charged with violating conditions of release after a traffic stop on May 19.
Joseph Labelle, 23, of Greenbush, was traveling north on Mast Hill Road when he struck a deer on May 19. Neither Labelle or his passenger were injured.
An assault on May 19 is being investigated.
Cassandra Dawn Larrabee, 38, of Stockton Springs was cited on May 20 for failure to produce evidence of insurance.
Rigel Garfield, 38, of Westbrook, was issued a citation for operating after suspension on May 20.
On May 20, Officer Amanda Loeven’s vehicle was struck. The driver “took off,” according to the report. The incident is under investigation.

John Lanpher, 41, of Southwest Harbor was arrested for possession of scheduled drugs on May 21.
Martin Billings, 76, of Orland, received a citation for speeding on May 21.
Emrys Fern Murnik, 18, of Blue Hill, was cited on May 21 for failure to produce evidence of insurance.
Thomas Douglas, 41, of Bangor, received a citation for speeding on May 21.
On May 21, Carrie Morse, 39, of Jacksonville, FL, was issued a citation for speeding.
Krysten Lydick, 32, of Bucksport, was arrested on warrant on May 22.
Kieleigh Lynn Sands, 19, of Verona Island received a citation on May 22 for improper use of a cell phone while operating.
James Matthew Dellerba, 40, of Manchester, NH, was cited on May 23 for failure to produce evidence of insurance.
Sai Rohit Reddy Kotla, 29, of Leander, TX, was issued a citation on May 23 for speeding.
Deer Isle
As a result of an investigation of an incident that occurred at the Mill Pond Service station, Rena Trundy, 65, of Deer Isle was summoned for assault on May 22. She was given a later date to appear in court.
On May 25, Tysen Jordan, 21, of Brooklin was arrested for false attachment of plates, possession of schedule W drugs and violating conditions of release. He was also summonsed for operating after suspension. Jordan was transported to Hancock County Jail without incident.
Orland
On May 23 Sergeant Travis Frost responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Upper Falls Road and Acadia Highway. According to a report, “68-year-old male from Frankfort swerved to avoid a vehicle operated by a 29-year-old female from Boston, Massachusetts, who had entered the intersection. The male subject’s vehicle struck a support pole and landed in a ditch; the vehicle was declared a total loss. The male subject was transported to Eastern Maine Northern Light ER with non-life-threatening injuries, while the female driver was uninjured.”
Michael Reed, 58, of Penobscot, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report.
On May 22, a business reported someone who had hidden merchandise while in the store. A Maine State Trooper was nearby and located the suspect. The business did not want to pursue charges but the individual was warned not to return to the business.
Sedgwick
On May 22, Deputy Mariza Gionfriddo responded to a report of an unattended death in Sedgwick. It was determined to be of natural causes.
Stonington
Deputy Devin Grindle conducted a well-being check on a female in Stonington on May 16.
