The case of the missing swimming pool
Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

BLUE HILL
On June 8, Laurie Allen, 41, of Blue Hill was arrested on an active warrant for “failure to appear,” the report said. She was transported to the Hancock County Jail without incident.
Deputy Wyatt Lord investigated a disorderly complaint. A Blue Hill resident was given a disorderly conduct warning.
BROOKSVILLE
Deputy Devin Grindle assisted the Brewer Police Department with an incident on June 10.
Deputy Mariza Gionfriddo responded on June 10 to a request to check on the wellbeing of a female who was in a mental health crisis. The female was uncooperative with the crisis worker as well as deputies when they made contact with her. It was determined she was not a danger to herself and refused assistance.
BUCKSPORT
Bucksport police received a debit card that had been found in an ATM machine on June 7.
On June 7, Officer Robert Findlay responded to a report of an “out of control” juvenile. The juvenile was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
A woman called Bucksport police on June 8 to report that an above-ground swimming pool she had ordered did not show up. The woman believed it had been delivered to an incorrect address. No further information was available.
On June 11, police received a report that a high school student had left with unknown whereabouts. The student was located.
Police received a report of people swimming in Silver Lake on June 12. The lake is the town’s water supply and no swimming is permitted.
Police investigated a report of a disorderly female at Hannaford on June 13.
CASTINE
Francis Matthew Lee, 45, of Orland, was arrested on June 11 for operating under the influence. He was transported to the Hancock County Jail without
PENOBSCOT
Laurie Allen, 41, of Blue Hill was arrested on June 10 for violating conditions of release and summonsed for operating after suspension. She was transported to the Hancock County Jail without incident.
SEDGWICK
On June 12, Deputy Devin Grindle received a report of an elderly woman with dementia in Sedgwick. The woman was transported to the hospital voluntarily without incident.
SURRY
Deputy Dylan Pung assisted the Maine State Police with a domestic incident on the Blue Hill Road on June 9.
VERONA
A female was reported on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge on June 6. She left without incident.
