Missing child found

Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Blue Hill

Deputies responded to a residence for a reported domestic dispute on Sept. 10. Nathan Olsson, 37, of New Hampshire, was arrested for domestic violence assault.

Bucksport

A worker at McDonalds reported a male that wouldn’t leave on Sept. 6.

A motor vehicle complaint was filed on Sept. 6 after a truck was seen towing an SUV with a chain.

Suspicious persons in a car were reported on Sept. 6.

Officer Dan Harlan checked on a screaming child on Sept. 6. He determined “all was okay,” the report said.

Eric DuPont, 63, of Roslindale, MA, received a citation for speeding on Sept. 6.

Christopher Perron, 22, of South Portland, received a citation for speeding on Sept. 7.

A male resident reported stray dogs on his property on Sept. 7. The dogs would not leave.

The door at the Bucksport House of Pizza was discovered open on Sept. 7. Officers secured the door.

Christopher Reddien, 53, of Castine, received a citation for speeding on Sept. 8.

A dirtbike was doing wheelies on Sept. 8.

Gabriel Kneeland, 23, of Bucksport, received a citation for speeding on Sept. 8.

Benjamin Webb, 35, of Cincinnati, OH, received a citation for speeding on Sept. 8.

A male resident reported identity theft and stolen credit card points on Sept. 9. 

A verbal argument between family members was reported on Sept. 9.

Elle Gandy, 25, of Brooksville, received a citation for speeding on Sept. 10.

Gail Lorde, 71, of Bucksport was driving out of a driveway to begin a school bus run on Sept. 10 when she hit the side of a vehicle driven by Derek Dunbar, 63, of Bucksport. No injuries were reported and there were no passengers in the bus at the time of the incident.

Joshua Ocasio, 27, of Orland, was traveling on Duck Cove Road on Sept. 10 when he swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway and crashed. No injuries were reported.

Karley Perkins, 34 of Ellsworth, was issued a citation for operating after suspension on Sept. 10.

A business owner requested premises be checked through the night on Sept. 10.

A lost backpack, hat, and stuffed animal were returned to the owner on Sept. 11.

Warnings were issued after a reported harassment call on Sept. 12.

A missing person was located on Sept. 12.

Officers received a report of a juvenile looking in windows on Sept. 12.

Two males were involved in an altercation with a female on Sept. 12. The incident is under investigation and charges are pending.

Orland

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Maine State Police at a report of a domestic dispute in Orland on Aug. 26. The incident resulted in no charges.

As a result of a traffic stop on the Castine Road, Joseph Ames, 43, of Orland, was charged with operating with a revoked license. He was transported to the Hancock County Jail without incident.

Nathan Olsson, 37, of New Hampshire, was arrested for operating under the influence on Sept. 11.

Surry

Sergeant Marcus Downes responded to a residence in Surry for the report of a missing six-year-old child on Sept. 10. The child was located after a short search of the area. The Maine State Police were also on scene.
