Arrest and incident reports are collected from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the Bucksport Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Arrests are not convictions, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Deputy Devin Grindle received a report of theft from a local business on Sept. 23. The incident is currently under investigation.
Bucksport
An assault on Sept. 20 is under investigation. Relatedly, overnight damage to a vehicle on that same date is under investigation, as is a violation of a protection order.
Lost keys were reported on Sept. 20.
A bank card was found on Sept. 20.
Officers responded to a disabled vehicle report on Sept. 20.
An individual called the veteran crisis hotline on Sept. 21 to request a well being check.
A resident reported a mission dog on Sept. 21.
Officer Matt Schmidt conducted a well being check on Sept. 21.
A school employee reported a suspicious vehicle on Sept. 21. Officer Chris Sargent determined the incident was “all set,” according to the report.
On Sept. 22, a female reported a violation of a protective order. The incident is under investigation.
A caller reported possible suspicious activity around their residence and vehicle on Sept. 22. The individual requested increased patrols in the vicinity.
A missing person report was filed on Sept. 23. The incident is under investigation.
Amy Erikson, 63, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, struck a deer in the roadway on Sept. 23. No injuries were reported.
Officer Matt Schmidt received a well-being check request from Maine State Police on Sept. 23.
A doctor requested a well-being check for an individual on Sept. 23.
Ellsworth Police Department passed along a complaint about a possible overloaded box truck on Sept. 23. Officers in Bucksport were not able to locate the vehicle.
A shopping cart was found abandoned in a ditch on Sept. 23. The cart was removed by the Bucksport Highway Department.
Officer Chris Sargent issued a warning for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle on Sept. 23 after receiving an erratic motor vehicle complaint.
A lockdown drill occurred at the middle school on Sept. 24.
A boat was removed by a property manager on Sept. 24.
A missing debit card was returned to the bank on Sept. 24.
Officer Christ Sargent returned a purse found in the middle of the roadway to its owner on Sept. 24.
Matthew Southard, 24, of Frankfort, received a citation for operating a motor vehicle without headlights on Sept. 25.
A suspicious male–possibly intoxicated–was seen walking down the road on Sept. 25.
Elizabeth York, 18, of Bucksport, received a citation for failure to display a valid inspection sticker on Sept. 25.
On Sept. 25, a bee’s nest was discovered at Ian’s Playground. The Highway Department was notified.
A pedestrian in apparent distress was reported on Sept. 25. Officers gave the pedestrian a ride home.
An individual requested a well-being check on their neighbor on Sept. 25. They hadn’t seen the neighbor in over a week.
Kevin Gorrel, 21, of Old Town, received a citation for operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Sept. 25.
Matthew Page, 47, of Bucksport, received a citation for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and speeding on Sept. 26.
A noise complaint was filed on Sept. 26.
Officer Amanda Loeven received a possible animal abuse report on Sept. 26. The incident is currently under investigation.
Charles Hodgkins, 29, of Stonington, received a citation for failure to display a valid inspection sticker on Sept. 26.
A tool bag containing spoiled food was found–and discarded– on Sept. 26.
A 17-year-old driver of Bucksport, was backing out of a parking spot on Sept. 26 when she hit a parked vehicle belonging to Giles Warren, of Bucksport. No injuries were reported.
Matthew Page, 47, of Bucksport, was summonsed for operating after suspension and speeding on Sept. 26 while driving on Silver Lake Road.
An individual asked to speak with an officer on Sept. 26 regarding ongoing harassment.
Lindsay Haston, 36, of Wilmington, Delaware, received a citation for imprudent speed on Sept. 26.
A well-being request was made on Sept. 26. The individual in question was “all set,” according to the report.
After coming home on Sept. 26 and finding their basement lights on, a resident submitted a suspicious incident report.
Christina Gramolini, 41, of Hancock, received a citation for failure to produce evidence of insurance on Sept. 26.
Stonington
Deputy Wyatt Lord issued a trespassing notice on Sept. 22.
Surry
Deputy Anthony Jones assisted the Maine State Police with a domestic violence report on Sept. 27. The parties involved were given disorderly conduct warnings.
