The First Concert at Field Note Music School’s "intimate and cozy" new performance space will feature the Finehouse James Duo. "It's like having the artists play in your living room ," says Field Note's director Peter van Reesema.

The dynamic duo features Tyler Michael James on cello. His playing has been described as lyrical and profound. Pianist Constantine Finehouse has played in many famous concert halls in the United States and Europe, as well as making multiple recordings. Both love playing music in Maine and are honored to be chosen to play the first concert in Field Notes’s new building. “Maine holds a very special place in our hearts,” says James.

With a chill in the air and the autumn leaves putting on a glorious show, the concert, called “Foliage Fugues”, promises to be an inspiring celebration of the season with music that ranges from Beethoven’s intense, passionate cello sonata through Faure’s dreamy “Apres Un Reve” — “After a Dream.”
