MHFA is a skills-based training that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to someone who is experiencing a mental health or substance use problem without taking on the role of a mental health professional. In addition to recognizing risk factors and warning signs of mental illnesses, MHFA offers a 5-step action plan for offering help, which includes identification of resources for further support.
Registration for participation is required. To sign up, use the following link: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/xpkxz7uHxV.
For questions, please reach out to Julianne McLaughlin, Senior Program Coordinator, at julianne@namimaine.org or 800-464-5767 ext. 2302.
