The Blue Hill Public Library and Blue Hill Books will present an author event with Shakespeare scholar and Stephen E. King Chair in Literature at UMaine, Caroline Bicks, for her new book Monsters in the Archives: My Year of Fear with Stephen King on Thursday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the library. Monsters in the Archives is a fascinating, first-of-its-kind exploration of Stephen King and his most iconic early books, based on groundbreaking research and interviews with King—all conducted by the first scholar to be given extended access to his private archives. Part literary master class, part biography, part memoir and investigation into our deepest anxieties, Monsters in the Archives—authorized by Stephen King himself and informed by interviews Bicks had with him—is unlike anything ever published about the master of horror. This program is free and open to all. Blue Hill Books will be onsite with copies of the book available for purchase. For more information contact Kayleigh at kayleigh.thomas@bhpl.net or 374-5515.
