The Blue Hill Public Library will present “Observations & Studies: Watercolors, Gouaches, & Oils,” a solo exhibition by Maine artist Rick Landesberg, on view at the library from June 2 through June 29. The public is invited to a reception on Saturday, June 13, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. About the show, Rick offers, “Each of these paintings began with my strong response to a particular place—a quality of light, the rhythm of trees, a pattern of receding islands, sun burning through morning haze.” Rick was born and raised in Philadelphia and earned his degree in Painting from the Philadelphia College of Art and a Certificate of Studies from Central Saint Martins College of Art in London.
