Artist Rick Landesberg, “Using the Sketchbook to Respond to Places You Care About”

  • Blue Hill Public Library 5 Parker Point Road Blue Hill, Maine, 04614 United States (map)

The Blue Hill Public Library will present a talk with the June exhibiting artist Rick Landesberg on Wednesday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. Capturing an environment you care about in a sketchbook is a rich way to experience, and even celebrate, a place. Rick’s talk will present strategies for looking deeply at a place and responding to it through drawing. This won't be a studio art session nor will it be a “how-to-draw” class, but it will hand you a set of options, thought-starters, and opportunities. Recommended tools will be discussed as well. This talk welcomes both those who have significant and moderate drawing skills. Rick Landesberg, an artist and graphic designer, has led multiple sketchbook workshops in Pennsylvania, Maine, and France.
