BLUE HILL—The 135th annual Blue Hill Fair is happening this week, from Sept. 3-7.

The first, and often most popular, day of the fair is Dollar Day, happening this Thursday, Sept. 3. Although forecasts predict some rain for the opening day, it is projected to stop around 7 p.m., which still gives fairgoers time to attend before the fair closes at 10 p.m.

Aside from Dollar Day, the fair will open at 8 a.m. each day. General admission is $10. Kids 11 years old and under can enter for free. The schedule for each day can be found on the fair’s website.

Some 40,000 people attend the fair each year. To catch up on The Rising Tide’s reporting on what’s new with the fair, visit here. And to learn who’s behind the past two decades of the fair’s official posters, visit here
