Rescheduled from 10/20 to review following applications;
1)Stephanie Scheer Young / Elliott Architects, 89 Water St, M24 L56A for the demolition & relocation, elevation and reconstruction of a new principal structure
2) Moss Acre LLC / Nate Holyoke Construction, 210 The Shore Rd, M7 L2. to move more than 1000 cubic yards of earth and change the grade by approximately 48” on the rear (water side) of principal structure on the lot
3) Scott E. Vogell, 21 Main St, M21 L80, to place a fence in the commercial district
Castine - ZBA Public Hearing
ZBA Public Hearing at 5PM (rescheduled from 10/14) to hear the appeal of EF Smith Ltd, 13 Sea St, M21, L60, regarding the Dennett’s Wharf reconstruction project 15 Sea St, M21,L 57B.
The appeal alleges errors made by the Planning Board (PB) and the Code Enforcement Officer (CEO) in the PB 6/16/2026 site plan review of field change amendments to the reconstruction plan. This appeal is in response to the 8/4/26 ZBA remand of the project to the PB and the Findings of Fact generated by the PB on 9/8/26 which was originally permitted with Permit #4391 dated 9/9/25.
Castine - ZBA Public Hearing
To review the Findings of Fact codified by Planning Board following the ZBA remand to the PB on August 4, 2026. The remand of the FoF from the appeal of EF Smith Ltd, 13 Sea St, M21 L60, regarding the Dennett’s Wharf reconstruction project at 15 Sea St, M21, L57-B. The appeal alleges that errors were made by the PB & CEO.

RESCHEDULED August 18th Public Hearing 1) To generate Findings of Fact for the Amendments to Permit #4391 (dated 9/9/25) which were reviewed by the Castine Planning Board on 6/16/26. This Public Hearing is necessitated following the Castine Zoning Board of Appeals 8/4/26, remand of the Findings of Fact from the June Public Hearing back to the Planning Board for further development.
