The 80 voice Bagaduce Chorale will be performing Sir Carl Jenkins’  magnum opus “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace”, under the direction of Bronwyn Kortge. This epic work uses diverse text to chronicle a descent into war, the horror of conflict, the desolate aftermath, and finally a tentative movement toward peace. First composed and dedicated to the victims of Kosovo, this will be the first time that “The Armed Man” is presented in Maine with the accompanying film, commissioned by Sir Karl Jenkins. The work is notable for its powerful, accessible melodies, and rich blend of musical genres. 

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door. Students are free.
